When we say we build people up, we mean it — from the structures that support them to the children, families and students inside them. Our charitable service makes positive change possible, and we’re committed to creating a better world — one community at a time.
After being introduced to Ronald McDonald House Charities® by longtime supporter John Robertson, our CEO Glen Yates has made Colt a proud philanthropic supporter of an organization that’s dedicated to the health and happiness of children everywhere. Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home-away-from-home that serves and sustains families of children receiving treatment at area hospitals, so together they can rest and regroup; hope and heal; laugh and love. When our CEO’s wife, Alma Yates, traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to donate school supplies to a small, underprivileged elementary school, we made it our mission to help her do even more. With 74 students spread across grades 1-5 and not enough uniforms to clothe them all, Colt coordinated with the school’s director to purchase and provide everything from new uniforms to pens, pencils, paper, scissors, glue, printers, and recreational equipment like a slide, see-saw, monkey bars, soccer nets and balls. We envisioned a brighter future for these students and, together, we made it happen.
